America's Baby Cancer Foundation provides a "RAE" of hope:
Research - Registries, Studies & Experimental Treatments conducted by the major healthcare facilities, teaching hospitals and individually financed clinical trials. ABCF provides direct financial contributions to specific efforts or referral of prospective benefactors.
Aid - Help & Events for Families which include hard money donations for housing, utilities, transportation, food, medical co-payment, nonqualified prescriptions and in-kind services such as fund raising events, entertainment, travel related housing, childcare, etc. ABCF also facilitates other assistance and services provided in-kind by individuals and corporations.
Education - Information for families is a very important element, which is sorely lacking in today's treatment methodology. Parents at their most vulnerable are asked to deal with extensive, in-depth scientific information regarding their child's disease and the treatment protocols. ABCF is developing educational multimedia programs which will be available to families free of charge through their hospitals in 2004.
